Navien Tankless Heater Tune-Ups in Ellicott City

Navien tankless water heaters often feature condensing technology, making them highly efficient but also requiring specific maintenance. Our tune-ups include checking the condensate trap for blockages, cleaning the secondary heat exchanger and verifying the operation of the circulator pump. We also ensure a proper air-fuel mixture and calibrate sensors for peak efficiency in Ellicott City homes.

Condensing Unit and Neutralizer Service in Ellicott City

High-efficiency condensing tankless heaters produce acidic condensate that must be neutralized before it goes down a drain. We inspect the condensate trap, line and neutralizer cartridge and replace the media when it is spent. A clogged trap can cause shutdowns or water leaking inside the cabinet. We also check that the line is protected where it runs outdoors.

BVL Plumbing provides preventive maintenance for all major tankless water heater brands, including Navien, Bosch and State, across Ellicott City, MD. Inlet Filter and Air Intake Cleaning in Ellicott City

Every tankless unit has an inlet water screen that catches grit and scale flakes. Those screens can clog with sand and debris, especially after municipal line work. We pull and clean the screen and inspect the air intake filter, which can load up with dust and dryer lint. Clean filters keep the flow sensor reading correctly and the burner breathing properly.

Isolation Valve Kit Installation in Ellicott City, MD

Some tankless heaters were installed without service valves, which makes proper flushing impossible. We install a set of isolation valves with purge ports on the hot and cold lines so future maintenance takes minutes. The kit also lets you shut off water to the heater without closing the main. It is a one-time upgrade that pays for itself in simpler service.
